Student Led Conferences are special time where parents, students and school meet to celebrate and talk about learning. It is a time to share knowledge, skills and understanding, ask questions, and begin setting goals for the remainder of the semester. Let’s enjoy a report from Daniel Lin from 5E about the Student Led Conference.
Friday April 30th,2021 Sunny
It was a hot sunny day. My mom and I were going to the student led conference. I was nervous as my mom and I stepped into the school gate. Because I don’t want to show my bad work to my mom.
When we entered the familiar classroom, my portfolio was on the desk, and my teachers were waiting for us. My mom and I sat down and I started to talk about Inquiry. I talked about my ppt portfolio, then I showed my mom my inquiry notebook and worksheets .
My teachers also talked to my mom about how well I did in inquiry privately. The second subject was English. I showed my mom my opinion writing and some spelling worksheets. The third and fourth subjects that I showed was Chinese and math. I showed my Chinese essay to my mom. She even began reading my essay. Next, I showed tons of math tests and math learning tips to mom, and she was satisfied with my work. Minutes later, my student led conference was finally over, and I can relax for my holiday!
